After graduating from W.R Farrington High School, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marines Corps. Rodney worked as a bus operator for Oahu Transit Services.
Rodney is survived by sons Daniel Cardenas (Natalia), Matthew Cardenas (Nicole), and Thomas Haleamau (Amber); siblings, brother Felix Cardenas Jr. (Judy) and sister Brenda Abero (Clifford); granddaughter Leena Cardenas.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in the Makai Chapel at Borthwick Mortuary. Visitation is at 10:00 AM; Service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
Masks preferred. Flowers welcomed.
