She made tasty maki sushi, a fine Lilikoi pie, and the best shrimp tempura and fried chicken. After retiring as an educator, she lived and played in Las Vegas for over 20 years.
Aunty Ruth is survived by her brother, Tsuneyuki Yamanishi and sister, Jennie Seno. Nieces and nephews include Cynthia Chin, Valerie Chun, Faith Kalima, Jeff Yamanishi, Bobby Tom, Pearl Tom, Patrick Kitsuki, Lynne Leisy, Jill Kitsuki, Larry Seno, Jr., Lora Ann Seno Smith and Craig A. Seno.
