Theresa Agnes (Rodrigues) Schwengler, 93, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on August 18, 2026. Born on July 19, 1933, in Honolulu, Hawall, a beloved daughter of Caroline and Martin Rodrigues and sister to Gloria Jean Rodrigues.
In 1955, Theresa met the love of her life and partner, Michael R. Schwengler Sr. They married on June 16, 1956, beginning a 69-year journey that took them from Hawaii to California, Florida, and Arizona. They raised eight children, welcomed nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker whose life, centered around her family. She raised her children with a loving steady presence and will always be remembered for her consistency - she showed up; every game, every concert, every moment that mattered. Her home remained the heart of the family for decades, a gathering place for holidays, summer weekends, and spontaneous visits. Many cherished summers were spent traveling with her husband and children, creating memories that will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Caroline and son-in-law Doren; Michael Jr .; Marle; Brian and daughter-in-law Teresa; Michele; Mark; Robin and son-in-law Tim; and Steven.
Services will be held at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church on September 16, 2026.
