My Cousin Vicky was a generous and kind person.  I will cherish the memories of the times we shared together.  Vicky touched many of our lives with her love, friendship and humor.  I'm going to miss her.  Will think of her often as I know she is looking upon all of us as she joins members of the Montero, Oliveira and Calasopa families already watching over us.

Aunty Vicky was a great traveling companion and roommate.  We went to a lot of interesting and beautiful places.  I am greatful I got to enjoy all those fun times and adventures with her.

Shimmering in the sun, as bright as the sun

helped me out in the darkest times.

But never getting a chance to see them

Our Ohana gatherings wouldn't be complete without Aunty Vicky... She was and always will be a part of our lives.  We will miss our funny dog stories that we shared together.  Her love and passion she had for all our fur babies will truly be missed.  Forever she will be on all our hearts. 💕The Hamasaki Ohana

    Missing my Aunty Vicky so much ! She has been such a Big part of me and my families   lives.  My memories are full of happiness, joy,love and good times with lots of family gatherings. 
  She has always been there for me, from my childhood to helping me raise my kids. Our lives are deffently better because of her. She's the most caring , generous , fair, helpful, dependable, fun, and loving person.
   Aunty we love you so much, you'll be mist forever! 

I am going to miss my cousin Vicky.   I loved her spirit and her humor!  I don't have memories of Hawaii without her.  I was looking forward to seeing her in November as we lay my grandmother's ashes to rest with my grandfather's.  My heart continues to be with my family in Hawaii during this time, and I wish my family could be there for the services.

My Cousin Vicky

We never got to see each other very much over the 78 years.  We were born the same year -  she beat me by three months.  My mother and Vicky's mother were sisters.  My Auntie was a very sweet lady and Vicky was just as sweet.  Always a smile and laughter when we got to see each other.  She and I  had a lot in common.  We love dogs and love to eat.  Vicky would always check on my mother with calls, cards and every Christmas she would send beautiful calendars of Hawaii to both of us.  After my mother left to join her sister, she still continued to send them.  I will miss those special gifts from a very lovely lady.  Cuz, you are truly missed by all.

When I look back on spending time with Aunty Vicky and the cousins, mostly during that wonderful month before my senior year I was able to stay with Aunty Victoria and Uncle Lawrence, I am reminded of her endless laughter.  I remember how she would fondly hit Larry or Victor lovingly upside the head - usually about something they had just said or done.  And how much she loved all of her nieces and nephews.  I always envied her laugh in it seemed to come right from her toes.  She was always offering advice to us "youngsters" that we were back then.  Telling us to behave, but in the same breath, telling us to live life to its fullest.

Though most of us have lived far apart as family, the memories of the times spent together will always be special.  As much as we miss those we have lost, I have a sneaking suspicion that Aunty Vicky is smiling and laughing with other cherished members of the Montero and Calasopa family at this very moment!  That thought makes me smile.  

Aunty gave the best hugs!  She went to Kaimiki High School and I went to Mckinley so we would always joke about which colors are better, green and yellow or black and yellow!
