Walter "Bull Dog" Louis Fernandez, 83, of Mililani (formerly of Pukalani, Maui), died July 26, 2010. Born in Paia, Maui. A U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired refuse collector with the City & County of Honolulu. Survived by wife, Lahela K. Fernandez; sons, Louis T. and Herbert Ned K. Fernandez; daughters, Jessica K. Cortez and Rebecca K. Cabasag; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, James and John Fernandez; sisters, Roseline Palos, Judy Akoi and Clara Panela. Visitation on Friday, August 27th at Borthwick Mortuary at 9:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Borthwick Mortuary, Honolulu, HI.
