I worked with Bill in Kailua back in the 70's. He was always friendly and quick to crack a joke or laugh at one of yours.

I just learned of his passing and am greatly saddened by it. 

My condolences go out to his family and friends.

My sincere sympathy to the D'Argis Family in their loss. I first met Billy in the 3rd grade class at Henry Ford Elementary School in Highland Park, Michigan. We both left the HP School system but he dropped in to visit after Nam..and on his way to Hawaii, from which he never returned. He called several years ago to touch base after these many years. I never knew he was ill and just learned of his passing. He so loved his family. May he rest in peace.

I first met POPS at Bills wedding in 2008 and he instantly welcomed me into his home and treated me like family.  The few times I've gotten the chance to be around POPS I have truly enjoyed his company and all the stories he told of his old cop days. I wish to express my deepest condolences and sympathies to the D'Argis family and will miss POPS dearly.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bill and his family.    I was Ricci's 4th grade teacher and I remember him with fondness for the love he had for his family, especially his son Ricci.

Bill and I will miss "BillyD", we were planning to return to Honolulu this winter to see him again.  We enjoyed his company so much on our last trip.  I had not seen my cousin in 55 years, when we were kids, and we had a lot of catching up to do.  Our love and condolences to Karen and family. I will truely miss "Billy D". I had the pleasure of knowing Billy D since the year 2000 through his son Bill Jr. or BJ. My sincere condolences for such a huge loss. Billy was a friend of my fathers. I knew him through my life as "Uncle Billy." Even though I only had very few personal encounters with him, he was still a part of my life. I only have good memories of Billy and my family does as well. It was a pleasure to have known him.

We first met Pops when Bill and Joy got married. From the beginning he treated us like family and made us feel welcome. He made us laugh and we always looked forward to spending time with him. We are so sad that we will not have him here with us anymore, but still happy also because he does not have any pain or sadness anymore. I am sure he is looking down and telling all of us not to be sad, but celebrate the fact that he is safe and warm in God' s loving arms. Pops we love you and will count the days until we meet again.

I am sorry to hear of Bills passing, my condolences to his family. I was In the same recruit class together and beat partners in Waimanalo. I'm glad that I was able to meet with him on one of my trips back home. He was still in the department and showed me around the new station in town. Bill will forever be remembered as a friend and brother.

I've known Billy in passing since I was a little kid, but in the last several years have gotten to know him much better.  The world lost one of the good ones.  He is already greatly missed.

Billy D was a great HPD braddah and  taught me many things when I was a young officer, especially about just doing your job and being humble!
My condolences to the family, he will be missed.

I discovered two things during a visit to Hawaii with my husband, Mark. 
1.  Billy complained that you couldn't buy Vernor's ginger ale (which led to sending care packages from Michigan).
2.  Billy watched Korean soap operas even though he didn't speak Korean and there weren't any subtitles!!   Donna Hubbard

What can we say about cousin, Billy?  He sure did love his family and bragged about them every time we talked.  

One of my earliest memories was the time we sat at our Grandpa Borg's funeral.  Billy was several years older than me.  As we sat staring at the coffin, I asked Billy why Grandpa looked so yellow.  He told me it was because they rubbed butter on your skin when you died, and I believed him.  Years later I discovered it was from the glow of the candles, and not the Parkay!   Donna Hubbard

Billy was a good man and a great friend to me and my family.  I had the chance to work with him while living back on the island from '96 - '98.  During that time, we developed a friendship that would last another 16 years.  Billy did a fine job raising his two boys.  They both grew up to be good men.  The apples don't fall far from the tree as the saying goes.  I'm glad my wife and I had a chance to see him about a month ago.  He will be missed.  Rest in peace, braddah.
