

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, August 7th at Thurston Memorial Chapel on the Punahou High School campus, with a reception to follow immediately after the service. Father Thomas L. Gross of St. John Vianney Kailua will be officiating. William was born August 17, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Juanita Wells and William B. Heilbron, he graduated from Punahou High School in 1949 and went on to Stanford University on a full football and track scholarship, where he played in the 1952 Rose Bowl and received his business degree. Upon graduation William served in the Air Force and also the Air National Guard. On October 26, 1957 he married his first wife in Honolulu, they had 3 sons: Burt, Kurt and Kent. In 1980 Lynne and William divorced. William later remarried to Connie in 1983 and had 2 sons: “Billy” and Zachary. Connie and William divorced in 1990.
William created Hawaiian Agents Inc. where he served as President of the family company for many years. He enjoyed to work and only retired a few years prior to his passing. He was an avid tennis player and long-time member of the Kailua Racquet Club. He was also a member of the Outrigger Canoe Club since the age of 14 where he spent much time canoeing and playing volleyball.
William is survived by his five sons, Burt, Kurt, Kent, Billy and Zachary, two grandchildren Amanda and Patrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and William.
