Our beloved mother, Young-Soon Chang, born on June 23, 1939, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a cherished member of the Hawaii Korean Christian Church and Korean community. She passed away on March 21, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
She was born in Kae Seung, in Hwanghae Book Do Providence. When the Korean War broke out in 1950, she fled to South Korea with her parents and siblings until she immigrated to Hawaii with her immediate family in the 1980s.
Throughout her life, our mother touched the hearts of many with her dedication to the love of the Lord, family, and friends and her commitment to church community service.
Our mother will be remembered for her frugalness, wisdom, guidance, and love. She leaves behind her daughter Susie, son Brian, daughter-in-law June, and granddaughter Grace and Alison.
Today, as we bid farewell to our mother, let us cherish the memories we hold dear, finding solace in the knowledge that her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Rest in eternal peace, Mama. We love you.
