Abbie Lee Stepp

Born on October 16, 1939, in Robeson County, North Carolina, to the late Charles Miller Edwards and Doshie Lee Fisher, Abbie was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Abbie was predeceased by her first husband, William (Bill) Martin Stepp, in 1997; her son, David Joseph Stepp, in 1992; her daughter, Sheila Gayle Carr, in 2009; and her late husband, Earl Blake, who passed in 2023.

A devoted member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1292 since 1980, Abbie served with distinction on the Grand Council for the Women of the Moose and as Deputy Grand Regent. She dedicated much of her life to the service of others, with her unwavering commitment and leadership leaving a lasting impact on her community.

Abbie is survived by her son, Paul Thomas Stepp and his wife, Sandra Stepp, of Fayetteville, NC, as well as a host of beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her much joy in her later years.

A memorial service to celebrate Abbie's life will be held at Massey Hill Baptist Church on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and honoring the remarkable woman she was.

Abbie's love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
