Godwin, NC Mrs. Addie Pearl Norris Phillips, age 86, of Fayetteville Hwy., Godwin died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Harnett Woods Nursing & Rehab in Dunn. Mrs. Phillips was born October 21, 1928 in Johnston County the daughter of the late Preston U. Norris & Mertha Barefoot Norris and is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Huryshelle Phillips, and 5 brothers. She retired from Swift Industries with 27 years of Service. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Mingo Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Strickland & Rev. Michael Cogdill officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. She is survived by: 3 Daughters: Kay Phillips Hammond & (husband) Dale of Chapel Hill, NC, Charlene Phillips of Godwin, NC & Kathy P. Perez & (husband) Josh of Godwin, NC A Sister: AnnHowell & (husband) Gene of Graham, NC Grandchildren: Phillip Hammond & (wife) Sadie, Adam Perez & Elizabeth Perez Great Grandson: Lucas Hammond The family will receive friends Friday Evening, May 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home.
