Alma Preston, 89, went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She passed away while living in the home of her daughter Rose and son-in-law Terry Bass. Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Howard Preston, baby daughter Sharon Preston and son William “Bill” Preston. Survivors include two sons, Richard Preston of Louisa, KY, Edward (Bonnie) Preston of Lillington, NC, and daughter Rose (Terry) Bass of Erwin, NC.
Alma was a homemaker who loved to make quilts and took great pleasure in her 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Liberty Hospice for all their help, kindness, and compassion.
Services are to be held in her hometown of Louisa, KY. Final arrangements are not complete at this time.
