Bette L. Strickland

Mrs. Bette L. Strickland, age 59, of Dunn, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Strickland was born July 29, 1957 in Bryan, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parent Naomi “Eddy” Lee and a brother, Robert R. Dunn. Bette was employed by Morgan Advanced Materials in Dunn, where she was the Quality Assurance Manager. She was known to be a simple but direct person who was very dedicated to her career. She loved and cherished her family and especially her grandson Luke. Bette enjoyed animals but playing video games with Luke was one of her favorite family activities. A Celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Corinth FWB Church with the Dr. Joseph Wallis officiating She is survived by: Her husband: Donnie Strickland of Dunn, NC Her daughter: Crystal Gillis and husband Ron of Godwin, NC Her grandson: Luke Gillis Her father: William Leon Lee 2 sisters: Jennifer Dunn of Angier, NC and Kimberly Nelson of Godwin, NC Her brother Billy Dunn Lee of Nevada The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and other times at the home.
