Betty Jean Bryant

Betty Hair Bryant, age 79 of Linden died Monday, July 19, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Bryant was born on June 11, 1942 in Robinson County the daughter of the late Harvey Hair and Nettie Belle Hair and is preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey A. Hair and Floyd Hair.

Betty was a simple person who loved her family and put them first. She was known as the caretaker for the whole family, being the only sister with four brothers she always felt responsible for her brothers and their children.

She was a housewife who loved to cook and feed everybody, it has been said that if you went to visit her you had to eat something there before leaving. She enjoyed her roses and loved taking care of them, she gardened and loved to can and freeze what they had grown.

She always spoke her mind and you never had to guess how she felt about an issue. She always gave more to others than she ever received, but didn’t mind that, she would carry everyone’s burdens as if they were her own.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery with Rev. Wesley Hamilton officiating.

She is survived by: Her Husband of 62 years: Johnny Bryant of the home.

Daughter: Shirley Irizarry & (husband) Richard of Linden, NC.

Sons: Johnny W. Bryant & (wife) Marisha of Erwin, NC

Ricky A. Bryant & (wife) Teresa of Linden, NC

Timothy J. Bryant & (wife) Kelly of Fayetteville, NC

12 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren
