

He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Wilson Byrd; grandmother, Betty Jean Morrison; grandfather, Sonny Byrd; mother in law, June Monory; uncle, Terry Byrd and aunt, Joan Parker.
Billy was born July 26th 1972 to the Late Gary Wilson Byrd and Laura Lee Coleman in Indian River, Florida. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School class of 1988.
During his childhood and adolescent years Billy was named “one of the best” quarterbacks of his school. He enjoyed football and golfing so much that he coached both sports for many years. Billy also loved to fish and just like his father, anything to do with Nascar and Dale Earnhardt. Nascar was something that him and his father enjoyed together.
Billy worked his entire career as a Top Climber/Tree trimmer. When his health started to decline, Billy kept trying to provide for his family and enjoy his passion for the job.
Billy loved his family and was revered as being the best uncle by his nieces and nephew. He was loved dearly by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 9 beautiful years, Melissa Gale Byrd of Benson; Children; Silas Byrd (Alisha), Grant Byrd (Danielle), Elizabeth Ivey, Sophia Byrd, Kylee Byrd, Miranda (Thomas), Erica and Brandan; Mother, Laura Lee Rendon (Nick); Sister, Angie Brandt; 13 Grandchildren; Nephew, Austyn Brandt; Two Nieces, Lesley and Mallary (Jesse) and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service for Billy Shayne Byrd will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Midway Pentecostal Holiness Church at 11 AM.
