Brenda Gail Locklear

Born on August 30, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, Brenda was the beloved daughter of Wanda Weese and Raymond Hammonds. She was a devoted lifelong partner to Louis P. Hardin, a devoted Mother to Chadwick Hardin and Lewis Hardin, and a loving grandmother to Kyleigh, Isaac, and Aria Hardin and Mikenzie, Maycie, and Judah Hardin.

Brenda was known for her servant’s heart and commitment to her family. She enjoyed spending time at her church and going to dinner with friends. She was always there to offer love and support to anyone in need.

Brenda is survived by her lifelong partner, Louis P. Hardin; her children, Chadwick Hardin, Lewis and wife Heather Hardin; her grandchildren, Kyleigh, Mikenzie, Aria, Maycie, Isaac, and Judah Hardin; her siblings, Sharon Donaldson, Mia Collins, Terry Hammonds, Chucky Collins, Earl Collins, and Ronnie Fields. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda Weese and Raymond Hammonds, her husband, Marshall Locklear, her brothers, Robin Hammonds, Raymond “Skeeter” Hammonds, and Clarence “Tweet” Hammonds.

A funeral service will be held at Jesus First Church, 7467 Camden Rd, Fayetteville, NC on July 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life.
