Born on April 30, 1947, to Teet and Rachel Bryant—with whom he shared a deep bond—Charles carried on his daddy’s special way with animals and the outdoors.
He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Lee, in 1966, and together they built a life rooted in love, generosity, and care for each other and their family. A U.S. Army veteran, Charles honorably served in Vietnam as a machine gunner in the Americal Division, carrying the values of dedication, loyalty, and service with him throughout his life.
Hardworking and steady, with quiet wisdom and a spark of mischief, Charles was full of humor and had a nickname for everyone close to him. He was adored by his family, cherished by his friends, and warmly liked by all who met him. He found great joy in the outdoors—tending his garden, raising quail, and especially training bird dogs. He was most content simply being at home. His natural gift with dogs made him a respected trainer and guide in the hunting community.
In recent years, Charles spent his time doing what he loved: early mornings birdwatching with Linda, working with animals, watching westerns, sharing suppers with family, and making his great-granddaughter giggle.
Charles is reunited in Heaven with his parents and continues to be celebrated by his beloved wife, Linda; his three devoted daughters, Roxanne Harbeck, Mistie Brock, and Stephanie Gregory; his three caring sons-in-law, Edward, Leon, and Michael; his three cherished granddaughters, Rebecca, Celena, and Tiffany; his treasured great-granddaughter, Kylie (Little C); his dear cousin, Tissy; and many loving friends.
Private services will be held by the immediate family in his honor and memory.
Charles, Daddy, Papa, and GG Pa—we love you “very much” and will carry your love with us daily.
