
Danny Ray Camden earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Webster University, a milestone that reflected a steady dedication to learning and service.
In 1986, Danny Ray Camden entered the United States Army and retired in 2008, completing a career marked by faithful commitment and honorable duty. His military achievements include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Driver and MEchanic Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Royal British Parachutist Wings, and Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. Through years of service, he was cherished by those who knew him and remembered for a kind-hearted presence that brought steadiness and care to the lives around him.
Danny Ray Camden was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Linda Camden. He is survived by his aunt, Sara Pentercost, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will continue to hold his memory with gratitude and respect.
Visitation & Luncheon will be held at the Fayetteville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2601 Lone Pine Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306, on August 4, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Following will be a Funeral service beginning at 12:30 pm.
Burial with Military Honors will take place at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd., Spring Lake, North Carolina 28390, US, on August 4, 2026.
