Visited you today and your headstone came! It's beautiful and is the complete truth. You will ALWAYS be loved and will ALWAYS be remembered. Now we've just got to get your decorations back on your grave! ❤️ 🐝

Yesterday was 6 months that you've been gone. Honestly, it seems like so much longer, the time has just dragged on so slowly without you here. I went and visited you and left you a couple things. I miss you terribly.

View of the moon from where you're resting. PERFECT🌙❤️

Came by to see you again, just like every week. Had to leave you the best smelling rose I could find on the rose bush. 🌹🐝

Happy Easter in Heaven. You are so missed!!! I visit your grave all the time, but honestly, I'm still waiting to wake up from this, it still seems unreal. I talk to the moon about you every night- that hasn't changed and never will. I hope it's as beautiful up there as they say.. you deserve it. See you on the other side. 🩵bbgd🐝

This is something I never imagined I’d have to write.
When David and I first met, we stayed up way too late playing video games, laughing, and talking about any and everything. Those are memories I’ll always hold onto—before we had to grow up.
When I had Mark, life gave us one of those curveballs you couldn’t plan for. David was admitted to the hospital at the same time I was in labor. His friend Zack pushed him into Labor & Delivery in a wheelchair so he could be there. We both laughed about it, because of course that would be our story.
David and I didn’t always see eye to eye—we had our differences, our ups and downs—but there was one thing we never disagreed on: Mark.
He was our common ground. Our constant.
Some of my favorite memories are the simple ones—us taking Mark to the park, letting him wander around, just watching him explore with curiosity and wonder. And watching him learn to ride a skateboard at the same time he was learning to walk—that part of him absolutely came from David being his father.
Over the years, no matter where life took us, David would send me messages or letters reminding me that he knew Mark was safe with me. He always made sure I knew how much he trusted me as Mark’s mother. He told me more than once that he never worried about Mark’s upbringing because I made our son my world—and those words meant more to me than anything.
No matter what was going on between us, David never forgot my birthday. He always took time out of his day to reach out.
It breaks my heart knowing that when it comes time for Mark’s high school graduation, his marriage someday, or when he becomes a father himself, you won’t be there in person to see those moments and experience them with him.
Until we all meet again—
watch over our son. Keep him safe.
Be there with him in spirit every step of the way.
I promise I’ll keep doing what I’ve always done: loving him fiercely, protecting him, and making sure he knows just how deeply he is loved.
Rest easy, David.

Today's service was beautiful, so many people showed up for you, you would have approved. I miss you immensely already. I couldn't let you spend the night alone though.. i
I'll be seeing you 🐝🐝

David. I'm in shock that you're gone I've cried, I miss you. I know you are with Susan. David had a huge heart he was a fantastic artist videographer, and photographer. David loved to fish and skateboard. those were his two favorite things to do. David loved his son Mark more than life itself. David had a great sense of humor and he was spontaneous if he thought it he did it LOL. One of my Fondest Memories is when David used to show up to my job he'd say Aunt Sandra can I hold a 20 for you I'd laugh and give him 40 he'd grin y'all know what I'm talking about and be on his way. David showed up for me when I had cancer diagnosis last year encouraged me laughed with me and cried with me but he was present I'll forever be grateful and have fond memories of those days. Anyway David rest easy tell Susan hey from down here and I'll see you on the other side someday love you forever Aunt Sandra AKA money bags LOL.

It's hard to put into words what it feels like to lose a good friend. The world feels so much quieter now, and a lot less colorful.
I met David 20+ years ago, he worked at Seller's with my dad and brothers. He could make anyone laugh and when you were with him, life felt lighter and less lonely. He wasn't perfect..but he was real, he was passionate, and he was a loyal friend. He gave terrible advice (his solution was always to fight) but he still always tried to help in any way possible. He truly cared for every single person that he considered a friend. And he loved fiercely...even when it didn't make any sense. He was a proud Scorpio and if you knew him, you knew that too. He was so talented and had such a brilliant mind, but it just couldn't seem to rest.
He was definitely a proud father, and he loved his son more than anything else. He bragged about him all the time. Now he is Mark's guardian angel, and he can watch over him from the best seat in the house.
We lost a beautiful soul, but God only picks the best flowers for his garden. He is no longer in pain or struggling, and he is finally at peace. Rest easy 🐝

As an adult, when you look back on your core childhood memories it becomes more obvious who was consistent in your life and showed up with purpose. When I reflect back on time well spent, David was the best kind of friend. I met David in middle school, but I have an abundance of memories to cherish forever. Summers of laughter and being silly, shared in good company of a loyal friend. The world needs more people like him, although I will always feel fortunate to have called him my friend. Rest in peace David.

Sharing a memory of David and I camped out in my stranded SUV that was stuck in a mud hole at a place we spent a lot of time and many great weekends, Outback ATV Park. We would fish, ride 4 wheelers, take photos at the motocross track, and try to go through trails in my FWD suv knowing good and well it was not at all equiped for this journey lol David always challenged me to adventure...well when I say challenged maybe influenced is a better word. I always knew it would be a good time, and I am grateful for the many spontaneous adventures that David inspired in my life. There are a lot of chapters and a lot people that David introduced throughout the journey. David had a way connecting people, somehow he would always find the coolest places and people to introduce that would become family over the years.

My prayers for my great grandsons loss of his father. Mark is a precious young man he is such a gentle soul. I haven't seen David in many years but prayers are with his family and friends during this time. May God be with you all during this time.

My husband and I will remember David as a kind soul,,he had a big heart,,we met him through our son and Zach,,they would always hang out and just be teenagers,,then later down the road he joined our family by our daughter Stephanie whom they bought another beautiful kind soul into life,,Our grandson Mark,,Thank you for that blessing,,,May you forever fly with the Angels,,,Rest in peace. Love alwaysT&G Strickland

David was a good friend from skateboarding love Chris Barnes ❤️

I was friends with David throughout Middle and Highschool, and that friendship carried through life. David was a laid back guy who genuinely cared about others and was a loyal friend. He had a big heart. See you on the other side brother. We'll miss you.

Tom
