David was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on March 22, 1953 to Charles and Doris Tennant. In 1959 at the age of five, he moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina with his family when his father was stationed at Ft. Bragg with the United States Army.
David enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycles and had a passion for guns. He also loved being “Grandpa Dave” to his grandchildren. He worked at Black and Decker for 27 years as an Industrial Mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles Tennant. He is survived by his daughter Rachel West (James) and her children Graham, Abram, and Marleigh; son in loves Charles (Siobhan) and his childen Maverick and Penelope, and Dean (Susan) Lloyd and their children Cary and Annie: mother Doris Tennant; his brother James Tennant (Evelyn); nephew Jared Tennant; his lifelong love, Doris Lloyd, who he spent over 30 years enjoying life with. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday November 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
David will missed by many and loved forever.
