Dennis Lee Jackson Jr.

He was born in Raleigh, NC in April of 1958 to Dr. and Mrs. Dennis L. Jackson, the second of four children. Denny was a kindhearted, gentle soul that loved a joke and made friends wherever he went. He loved to be outside and enjoyed motor bikes, hunting, a fast car, evening drives, and most of all, being with his friends. Denny had a talent for figuring out how to do most anything and spent his life working on and fixing most anything that needed repair. He was versatile, resourceful and adaptable, able to handle a wide variety of tasks; all talents that served him in the host of jobs he held over his lifetime.

Denny is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Y. Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Myra of the home; his father Dr. Dennis L. Jackson; three children, Shonda Goodrich, Dennis L. Jackson III (Stephanie), Megan Jackson (Jeremy); three grandchildren; sisters, Elsha Cromer (Al), Lee Ammons-Prewitt (Tom), Jessica Gilmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend thanks to the Hospice team from Amedisys Hospice of Pembroke.

A graveside service for Denny will be held at the Jackson Family Cemetery on Saturday, November 1st at 1:00 PM.
