She was born to the late Donald Ray Prindle and Patricia Ann Prindle, October 27, 1960 in Fayetteville, NC. Donna graduated from Seventy-First High School in 1978 and received a BS and MA in Early Childhood Education from the The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Donna later received her PHD from the University of Indiana. She began her teaching career in the Cumberland County School System and later taught in Germany, Illinois and Indiana where she served as Principal in the Franklin Township School district, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Donna was a dedicated educator who touched the lives and inspired many young students throughout her career. She was passionate about the instructional process and implemented many innovate methods of instruction in the classroom as a teacher and later as an elementary school principal.
After moving back to her beloved home town Fayetteville, she had been active in volunteer work and has substitute taught in the Cumberland County School System.
Donna will be remembered as a loving mother, who always greeted others with a genuine smile. She was always respectful to all she met along life's journey. She never met a stranger.
Donna was member of the Calvery Free Will Baptist Church, which she loved so much. She was inspired by the loving church members and her caring pastor Rev. Johnny Pike.
Donna is survived by two children: Brian Alexander Kamish, USA, Ft. Drum, NY; Christopher Aaron Kamish, Greenwood, Indiana. She also is survived by her beloved brother, Donald Anthony Prindle.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Calvery Freewill Baptist Church to honor and celebrate Donna's life.
