

Duane was born Sept. 9, 1969, in Fayetteville to Jane Johnson Anderson and the late Ernest Franklin Anderson.
Under the watchful eye of his parents, he was raised to do unto others as he would have them do unto him, and you will reap what you sow.
He knew scripture and had a good heart for people in need. He had a very special love for his mother and was loved by his friends.
He loved music and singing. He sang “He Stopped Loving Her Today” by George Jones every day.
Duane was artistic. He loved to fish, cook, read, go on Facebook, watch old movies, talk to his friends on his cellphone and follow NASCAR, and he was a Jeff Gordon fan. He always loved to have fun and was able to see the humor in life, he loved to read and was a walking encyclopedia.
Whenever it was possible, he took his beloved dog with him everywhere he went.
He attended Hope Mills Junior High, and received his GED from Forsyth County, and was a professional painter.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Johnson.
Friends will be received from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Rivers of Living Waters Church of God on Bingham Drive, with funeral services to follow at 4:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road. Flowers may be sent to Reeves Funeral Home.
