Earl Ray Stevens

Mr. Ray Stevens, age 65, of Christian Light Rd., Fuquay-Varina, formerly of Dunn died Monday, October 24, 2016 at his home. Ray was born in Dunn on February 3, 1951 the son of the late Earl Hugh Stevens and is preceded in death by a son, Robert Stevens. Ray worked hard all of his life, he was a Ferrier, trained horses, worked in heating and air and refrigeration. He liked joking around, horseback riding, fishing, riding motorcycles and snow skiing. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Falcon City Cemetery with Rev. Grover Blackburn officiating. He is survived by: His wife: Cathy Stevens of the home. His mother: Helen Ivey Stevens of Dunn, NC Daughters: Angela Ashworth of Fayetteville, NC and Shelley Hall of Wilmington, NC. Step-Sons: Christopher McLamb & (wife) Lauren of Garner, NC Jonathon McLamb & (wife) Candice of Angier, NC Grandchildren: Christian & Robert Ashworth, Jacob & Avery McLamb, Bryce & Colin McLamb, Matthew, Jason & Logan Hall. Brothers: Gene Stevens & (wife) Kitty of Dunn, NC and Tony Stevens & (wife) Carolyn of Coats, NC The family will receive friends Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
