Edward Burns Grant

Edward Burns Grant 63 of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2024. He was born January 14, 1961 in Lincoln, Maine. Edward is the son of Harold “Buddy” and Claire (Stanhope) Grant. He is predeceased by his grandparents Warren and Mary Stanhope, Arthur and Etta Grant, father Buddy and one sister Suzanne Grant. He is survived by his only brother Linwood “Woody” Grant and life partner Dwight Thaggard of Fayetteville, sister in law Sharon Rush, niece Katie Jones, husband Steve and their children Dylan and Cody, and nephews Corey Grant and Tyler Rush all of NC. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. He was a lifetime loyal NY Yankees fan, rarely missing a game. He shared his strong love of sports with a special uncle Arther Stanhope. He was a “79” graduate of Penguis Valley High School in Milo, Maine and employed in multiple areas of work over his lifetime. He lived a simple life and maintained that in the end. He has requested no services in his honor and all to remember him as he was in life.
