Leaving behind his children, Charles Pearson and Belinda Pearson Jacobs and her husband Jimmy Raymond Jacobs; special friend, Dorothy Lee Edwards; as well as, Kenny and Laurie Strother, Marie Smith, Julie Ann Darden, his sister-in law, Elvera Tomlinson and Chris and Chad Tomlinson, his brother-in-law Terry Floyd and his wife Linda and their sons Jeff and Todd, Lynn McAbee and a whole host of friends and extended family. He is preceded in passing by his late wife, Patricia Gayle Pearson, his brother-in-law Ret Tomlinson, and his special fur baby, Dutchess.
Edward proudly served his country in both the Army and Marine Corps. Serving 4 years in the Marine Corps before transferring to the Army where he completed 16 plus years and honorably retired after 20 plus years of faithful service. Later in life he owned and operated Pearson's Trucking Company and made many trips as an over the road driver. When not helping keep the country moving on those long roads he enjoyed escaping the cab of a truck and being outside, traveling and spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed golfing, boating and spending time in his "happy place" which was Hawaii. This was the ultimate escape and afforded him the recharge needed to keep up the hard work.
A celebration of life for Edward will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3 P.M. in the Reeves Funeral Home Chapel, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348.
