

Edward was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to read, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowling, and was a devoted Redskins fan. Edward was a devout Christian and was a member of Balm in Gilead Church. He served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Band of Brothers. He owned his own painting business called Independent Painting. He was very devoted to his furbabies, Oreo and Hershey.
Edward is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Rhoden; his stepson, Justin Smith; and his brother, Jon Rhoden. He is survived by his wife, Eva Rhoden; his children, Steve Rhoden (Jennifer), Arcadio Cuevas III (Kaila-deceased), Natacha Cuevas, and Sarah Rhoden; his father, John Rhoden; his brother, Phillip Rhoden (Alicia); brother-in-law, Edward Player (Doris-deceased); sisters-in law, Teresa Rhoden, Annette Worth (Jimmy-deceased) (Jeff), and Teresa Kapileo (Joseph); numerous grandchildren, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation for Edward will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A burial will occur Friday, July 18, 2025 at Cumberland Cemetery, 2100 Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
