Eleanor Fann Blanchard

Mrs. Eleanor Fann Blanchard of Godwin, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Eleanor was born in Sampson County, North Carolina on September 18, 1934 the daughter of the late William Braxton and Katie Warren Fann and is preceded in death by her husband James Rupert “Buddy” Blanchard, a daughter Carolyn Lee Blanchard, a brother Henry Glidwell Fann and a sister Doris Fann Jackson. Eleanor enjoyed spending time at home, being with her church family, reading her Bible and most of all being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Baptist Chapel Church in Autryville, NC with Rev. Alan Roberts, Rev. Joey Cantrell and Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Chapel Church Cemetery She is survived by: Son: Glenn Blanchard of Godwin, NC Daughter: Jean Williams and husband Steve of Raleigh, NC Grandchildren: Amy Pope and husband Brad of Dunn, NC, Patrick Blanchard of Godwin, NC and Summer Williams of Raleigh, NC. Great Grandchildren: Tifton and Lawson Pope of Dunn, NC Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews The Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Baptist Chapel Church.
