

Etheline was a homemaker and the devoted mother of five children. She was loved by many and was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a proud and faithful supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for more than fifteen years. Her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ never faltered. She spoke only kind and loving words to everyone she met and never knew a stranger. She is now at peace, resting in heaven in the arms of Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas “JT” Jackson; her daughter, Mary Sue Boahn; her grandson, Randy Boahn; her parents, Jim and Sudie Beard; her brothers, Paul, John, and Hazel Beard; and her sisters, Lula-Mae Simmons and Ivana Beard.
She is survived by her children: Carolyn Faircloth (Percy) and Thomas “Buck” Jackson (Wendy), both of Roseboro; John “Johnnie” Jackson (Donna) of White Oak; and Jackie “Jack” Jackson (Julie) of Erwin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She will be deeply missed by her family, her community, and all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Etheline will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home, 401 W Cumberland St, Dunn, North Carolina 28334. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Colliers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 9398 Colliers Chapel Road, Linden, NC, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, John Thomas “JT” Jackson.
