Eugene Edward Tannehill

Eugene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and faithful friend. He was devoted to his family, his country, and his church. He served and retired from the United States Army. After his dutiful service, he served over 20 years in Civil Service. He was very active in his church, Hope Bible Church. He was an avid fisherman, and his sons will always have fond memories of fishing with their dad.

Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Tannehill; his parents, John and Beulah Tannehill; and his sisters, Marilyn Gough and Janice Kramer. He is survived by his two sons, John Edward Tannehill and Thomas Eugene Tannehill (Ellen); his grandchildren, Timothy Bittner (Kim), Taylor Tannehill, Jessica Tannehill, and Levi Tannehill; 3 great grandchildren; his siblings, Jerry Tannehill (Mary), and Arlene Bernardoni; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation with family & friends for Eugene will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Hope Bible Church, 1900 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Hope Bible Church, 1900 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303. A burial with military honors will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd., Spring Lake, North Carolina 28390.
