Flora Ann (Smith) Langdon

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Flora Ann Langdon (Smith). She passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 85, in the town of Dunn, North Carolina.

She was born on June 28, 1940, at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to the late John Alexander Smith and Ina Parker Smith. Ann was the matriarch of the family and will always be remembered as a woman of strong Christian values and a charitable heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance R. Langdon, and their son, David R. Langdon. Her occupations included working as a seamstress at multiple clothing factories, in retail sales at a department store, and in the food service department at Campbell College.

She is survived by two of her children: Mark A. Langdon (Wonda) and Devin R. Autry (Mike); four grandchildren: Malachi Wilson, Aden Autry, Rachell Langdon, and Christopher Langdon (Kaycie); and one great-grandchild: Maddox Wilson.

A visitation will be held at the Community Chapel Church of Erwin (815 Raiford Road, Erwin, NC) on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. A burial will take place at Devotional Gardens afterward.
