Freddie Mae Shinault, 82, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. She dedicated her life to her family, her precious yorkie Zoyee, and her Congregational family at Stoney Point Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years, William Franklin Shinault, Jr., as well as her 7 children: Billy Ray Kennedy (Janet), Rebecca Kennedy Simcox (Gary), Thressia Kennedy Tutterow, Charles Howard LaCourse, Jr. (Daisy), Lynda Ruth LaCourse, William Michael Shinault (Karen), and Stephanie Shinault Bentley, as well as Freddie's beloved brother, Charles Ray Martin (Brenda).
Freddie Mae also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren and her most endeared cousin Shelby Stanley. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Seldon Martin, her mother, Vassie Veronica Sanders, and her stepfather, Archie Lee Sanders. Freddie Mae retired from the Cumberland County school system where she served in the Rockfish Elementary School cafeteria.
The service for Freddie Mae Shinault will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Stoney Point Baptist Church at 2 PM. There will be a visitation from 12- 2 PM prior to the service. The burial will be at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, NC after the service.
Freddie Mae Shinault’s final Gift and testimony came not from her words but at the time of her departure. 11:59 PM, March 16.
