Gail was born on May 20, 1937 in Rochester, New York and was the only child of Elma Hansford and Edward Laveck. Her father passed away when she was a young girl and her mother married Santos Palermo whom Gail loved dearly.
After Gail graduated in 1955 from John Marshall High School in Rochester she married a young soldier Robert (Bob) L. Quinn thus beginning her life as am Army spouse. They were stationed at several military bases. While stationed at Ft. Bragg they decided to purchase a home in Fayetteville and raise their children. Her mother, Elma, moved in with her to help take care of her six children after Santos passed away.
She was employed with Kelly Springfield Tire and Rubber Company for 12 years until her medical retirement in 1988.
Gail enjoyed spending time at the beach and with her family. She also enjoyed listening to classic rock. Her favorite band was
The Eagles.
Gail attended Saint Patrick Catholic Church regularly and enjoyed her visits from her church family during her illness.
Gail is survived by her six children, Jerry Quinn (Vicki) , Danny Quinn (Peggy), Linda Oehmke (Marty), Bobby Quinn (Cathy), Michael Quinn (Mitzi) and Jaime Caulder (Chris). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Amy Quinn Rogers, Stephen Hibst, Robbie Quinn, Robert (Patrick) Quinn, Rebecca Quinn, Shelby Quinn, Hayley Caulder, Alexis Caulder, Anthony Caulder, Logan Quinn and seven great grandchildren.
She loved her children deeply and will be greatly missed.
