Gertha M. Cavaner

Gertha M. Cavaner, age 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was born on September 30, 1936 to the late Ellen Smith & William Vance McLamb. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, William Franklin McLamb and John Paul "JP" McLamb; her sister, Annet McLamb Tidwell; and a whole host of friends and extended family her, Freedom Baptist Church family and many more.

She was a blessing to all who knew her and her skill and caring were demonstrated in the work she did as an Operating Room Technician. Her love for others was also displayed in her sewing and clothing design, making clothes for her sister Annet. She enjoyed travelling and seeing the world and enjoying theme parks, especially Walt Disney World. The mountains and cruising also claimed her attention and allowed her to see so many things and enjoy so many wonderful and enriching experiences.

A homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, May 12th, at Freedom Baptist Church in Eastover, NC at 12 Noon. A visitation with Friends and Family will be held from 11 A.M. to 1155 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Benevolence Cemetery in Clarkton, NC.
