Mrs. Henrietta Hardesty Muffett, age 92, passed away at home on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Born in Narrows, Kentucky in Ohio County on November 1, 1925, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Eugene Muffett, as well as two sons; Marion Dale Muffett and Wesley Thomas Muffett. Mrs Muffett raised 11 children, 9 of which still survive.
She was always a one-of-a-kind Mother. With the heart of a servant, she always placed herself last. She was filled with love for her family and friends, with her greatest joy being family gatherings.
She stayed at home raising her children, and then worked part-time as an Independent Salesperson for Tupperware and Dutchmade clothing. She also worked as a School crossing guard at Brentwood Elementary, a cafeteria worker at 71st Elementary and High School, and NAF at Fort Bragg as custodian and then a team leader. As one of the first original members of Passport to Health thru Cape Fear Valley, she would spend her time attending their events and also meeting seniors at various locations to play Senior Bingo.
Among those that survived are her 9 children: James Anthony Muffett and wife Laura, Marilyn Muffett Veitch and husband John, William Bradley Muffett and wife Cheryl, Francis Carlisle Muffett and wife Cathy, Helen Muffett Faircloth and husband Richard, Melissa Muffett Fenski and husband Bob, Dwight Steven Muffett and wife Elaine, Marvin Eugene Muffett and wife Cindy, and David Glenn Muffett.
Henrietta is also survived by 24 grandchildren: Brandon Muffett and wife Robin, Brittany and husband Stephen Colbourne, Ed Pierce and wife Wendy, Melvin Pierce, Corbett Muffett and wife Kerri, Jamie and husband Matthew Stephenson, Christopher Muffett, Jason Villanueva and wife Jennifer, Phillip Villanueva and wife Nadia, Brian Villanueva and wife Elisha, Catherine Muffett, Marion Muffett and wife Natasha, John Muffett, Francis Carlisle Muffett II, Heather Dockery husband Stephen Bessinger, Jeremy Dunn (deceased), Jacquelyn Quinn husband Tyrone Ahin, James Quinn and wife Julia, Jocelyn husband Ronnie Blount, Joshua Muffett, Johnathan Muffett and wife Amanda, Jennalynn Muffett, Mitchell Muffett, and Michelle Muffett.
She is also survived by 43 great grandchildren: Jadyn Owens, Anias Owens, Ellora Muffett, Parks Colbourne, Easton Colbourne, Erik Pierce, Alyssa Allen, Wesley Austin Pierce, Kristen Pierce, Brandon Chapman, Courtney Pierce, Mark Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Olivia Pierce, Asher Muffett, Mariah Villenueva, Kylie Villanueva, Hannah Villanueva, Emmalee Villanueva, Saddie Villanueva, Fiona Villanueva, Aaron Villanueva, Ethan Villanueva, Vanessa Villanueva, Vince Villanueva, Vandon Villanueva, Ender Muffett, Dillan Muffett, Aloni Muffett, Brent Windham, Madison Quinn, Jeremy Quinn, Madison Marshall, Alyssa Quinn, Kelsie Quinn, Alexander Quinn, Roman Quinn, Marianna Blount, Calvin Blount, Trenton Ullom, Emma Muffett, Taylor Muffett, Cohen Muffett, and Waylon Muffett.
Mrs. Muffett also has 2 great-great grandchildren: Harper Allen, and Archer Allen.
The visitation for Henrietta Muffett will be from 11 am - 12:30 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC with a graveside service to follow at 1 PM at Lafayette Memorial Park West in Fayetteville, NC.
