Hilda Grey Williams Patrick was born on February 6th, 1937 in Wade, NC to the late Alma Louise and JC Williams. She departed this life and began her walk with the Lord on August 20th, 2019 in Fayetteville, NC at the age of 82. Hilda is survived by her loving husband, Thomas “Horace” Patrick of 51 years. They married in Dillon, SC on August 18th, 1968. She leaves to cherish her memory: Margaret Goff, her only baby girl; her four sons; James Cole, Tim Cole, Thomas Patrick, Ric Patrick; and her 18 grandchildren. Hilda, lovingly referred to as “Nanny” by her family, devoted her life to being an amazing mother to five children. She was a loving and supportive wife to Horace who served in the Army and traveled with him on his many tours of duty with her children in tow. She loved to joke that she also retired from the Army after 22 years of service. Nanny enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, traveling, and tending to her Rose garden. She was a kind soul who never met a stranger and always saw the best in every person she encountered. Her smile brightened a room and the hearts of people she met. The visitation will be held at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St. Hope Mills, NC on Saturday August 24th from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM. The procession will depart Reeves Funeral Home at 1:00 PM and proceed to the graveside funeral service at Old Bluff Presbyterian Church, 4100 Old Bluff Church RD Godwin, NC. Services will begin at 2:00 PM. There will be a reception to follow at Wade Community Center, 4070 Church St. Wade, NC 28395 Hilda’s wishes were for all her friends and family to come to her services wearing their brightest colors in celebration of her life.

I'm sure going to miss you Nanny. Your smile always made everybody feel good. Your kind and generous heart touched all. I also am going to miss your awesome chicken and pastry, everytime I came home for a visit - you always said
Sandy come by a get some chicken and pastry. Until we meet again Nanny, keep an eye on all of us and keep us steered in the right direction. Love you.

Hilda you were so loved by everyone you ever met. What great memories I have with you and oh how we laughed and laughed about any and everything.
I will see you again one day and we can rejoice with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Happy homecoming. I love you.
