Irene was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was a member of St. Matthews Methodist Church for many years. She taught Calligraphy at Fayetteville Technical Institute. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Ohio.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Whightsil; a son, Bobby Edward Lambert Jr.; and a sister, Mary Williamson. She is survived her children, by Gregory Keith Lambert (Nelson) and Angela Beth Goodman (Joseph); her grandchildren, Tiffany Parsons (Justin), Brittany Nelson (John), and Breanna Goodman; her great grandchildren, Chloe Parsons, Owen Parsons, and Oliver Nelson; her brother, Bill Wilson Jr; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation with family & friends for Irene will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
