Mr. James Lee Lockamy

Dunn, N.C. Mr. James Lee Lockamy, 90, of Dunn died Wednesday June 11, 2014 at his daughter's home. He was born March 18,1924 in Harnett County, son of the late Jessie Lee Lockamy and Rosie Lockamy. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Arnold Lockamy, Paul Lockamy & Martin Lockamy and 2 sisters, Josephine Berube and Eva Jones. Mr. Lockamy retired from Strickland Motor Company of Dunn after 42 years of service. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Cromartie Miller & Lee Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Hamilton & Rev. Sherrill Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Eloise "Weasel" Lockamy of the home, one daughter, Bobbie Sue Smith & husband Larry Odell Smith of Dunn, two sons, Jerry Martin Lockamy of Erwin and James Mitchell Lockamy & wife Evelyn of Erwin, two brothers, Eugene Lockamy & wife Jean of Dunn and Elwood Lockamy & wife Evelyn of Erwin, two grandchildren, James Robert Smith of Dunn and Kenneth Earl Byrd, Jr. of Bunnlevel, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The Family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Carmartie Miller & Lee Funeral Home in Dunn.
