Janice Carol Bragg, 65, passed away on July 12, 2026. Born on November 14, 1960, in Farmville, Virginia, she was the eldest of three children born to William and Marilyn Fore. Janice graduated from Prince Edward Academy in 1979.
Janice served her country with distinction for 12 years in the United States Army, where she became the first female flight medic at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Her life reflected steady devotion—to duty, to family, and to the values that guided her.
At Fort Sill, Janice met Paul Bragg, who was also stationed there, and they were married in 1981. Together, Janice and Paul welcomed two children, Justin and Clara, and built a life that carried them to many places, including Oklahoma, Germany, and Ohio, before they eventually settled in North Carolina. In every season, Janice’s love was evident in the way she held her family close and made time together matter.
Janice found joy in simple, meaningful moments—especially time spent with family and days at the beach, searching for shells, shark teeth, and any other treasures she could find. Those who knew her will remember a loving presence and a faithful heart, expressed in countless quiet ways.
A longtime member of Highland Baptist Church in Hope Mills, Janice loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her faith remained a constant source of strength throughout her life.
Janice was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Fore. She is survived by her husband, Paul Bragg; her children, Justin Bragg and Clara Martin and her husband Mason; her father, William Fore; and her siblings, Kevin Fore and Kathrine "Kitty" Lambert.
