I had the pleasure of working with Jill at the Fayetteville Observer and am now blessed to work with Jill's beautiful and talented niece. Jill adored her nieces, nephews and family members and was a friend to many. Her internal spirit was a warm reflection of her beautiful smile and demeanor. I feel blessed that my path of life crossed with Jill's, and now I continue to have a connection to Jill, through my friendship with Jill's niece. It is an honor to celebrate the life of Jill Spell Koonce, and I am thankful for the many wonderful memories I hold in my heart from our time together. Family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember Jill. She was a really nice person. I was a Manager in Advertising and Marketing more than 10 years ago and remember going to meetings with Jill to discuss the various projects and initiatives for the Observer. She was a true professional and easy to work with. She always said hello and asked about your family. Very genuine. My deepest condolences to her family and her Observer family and friends. She will be missed.

My condolence to the family.
I worked with Jill and she was my manager for a short time while working at the Fayetteville Observer One Stop desk. She was always so very kind, soft spoken and professional. I remember she gave me a Christmas present one year and I thought that was so sweet. It was a snowman and I would set it out each year.
She was a joy to work with and I will truly miss her. Continuous prayer for the family. Vernell

My sister Sandy FLANARY worked with Jill and adored her. I went through breast cancer back in 2015-2016. Jill was so thoughtful and was always checking on me and sending me cards. I will never ever forget all her encouraging words and support. Prayers for her family. She will definitely be missed. RIP sweet Jill💕
