Jimmy Odell Coats, age 67 of Dunn died Thursday Evening, August 26, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Jimmy was born April 6, 1954 in Harnett County the son of the late Hubert Blackmon Coats and Grace Ivey Langdon.

Jimmy was a U.C. Veteran serving in the Navy and was a Sheet Rocker for many years.

He is survived by: His wife: Nell Barnes Coats of the home.

Daughters: Whitney Jordyn Coats of the home. Samantha Vandeventer & (husband) Mike

Brother: Hubert Eldridge Coats & (wife) Olease of Godwin, NC

Sisters: Patsy Strickland & (husband) Johnny Glenn of Dunn, NC; Cathy Ann Emery & (husband) Jeffrey of Benson, NC and Rebecca Coats of Dunn, NC.

3 Grandchildren and lots of Nieces & Nephews.

There will be a Graveside Memorial Service Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC.
