Joshua was a hardworking man. He worked as lead technician at VEMCO Music Company for 16 years. He was kind and generous, and tried his best to make everyone feel important. One word that would describe him best is genuine. He did not put on any pretenses…basically what you see is what you get; and he was loved for that. He had a dry sense of humor and a smart mouth, and it worked for him. He was just a lovable guy. Joshua, lovingly known as “St. Pauls” in the billiard world, had been playing pool for the majority of his life. He took an interest in the sport as a teenager. It was because of this that he gained a whole new “family” in the billiard halls. Joshua will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
Joshua is preceded in death by his mother, Cherielee Gollnick. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Gollnick; his father and step-mother, Dennis and Nell Gollnick; his sister and brother in law, Shannalee and Cristian Perez; his nephews, Garret Boyer and Bryson Boyer; and last but most certainly not least, his “Babydog” Chance James.
Joshua’s family wishes to express their most heartfelt gratitude to St. Pauls’s Billiards family. “You were so very important to him and we are so thankful for all the love and support you have shown in our time of loss and sorrow.”
A celebration of life for Joshua will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
