

Born on December 17, 1979, in Fayetteville, NC, Josh grew into a man known for his loyalty, independence, and unwavering affection towards those he loved. Josh attended College Lakes Elementary, followed by Northwood Temple for his high school education, and furthered his studies at Lee University. Professionally, Josh dedicated himself to a successful career as an Area Manager for Friedmann’s Jewelers, enhancing his experience with various sales roles before returning to his hometown. Beyond his professional pursuits, Josh had a profound love for baseball, computers, and video games, hobbies that he embraced throughout his life, bringing joy not only to himself but also to those around him.
Josh is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Gabrielle Alcala and her husband, Chris; parents Debbie Holland and her husband, Ward, and Chuck Korn and his wife, Denise; his brother, Charlie Korn; aunts Lori Farley and her husband, Tim, and Patricia Newman; along with many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lee and Ruby O’Neal, and paternal grandparents, Charles Sr. and Ann Korn.
A memorial service to celebrate Josh’s life will be held on Friday, August 2, at 12:00pm at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N. Main Street, Hope Mills. In honor of Josh's memory, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, supporting the fight against cancer, a cause close to his heart.
