Kathy Strickland Quinn

Kathy Strickland Quinn was born July 2, 1959 in Spartanburg SC to the late John T Strickland and Betty J Strickland. Kathy graduated from South View High School, shortly after graduation she became a housewife and mother. Kathy had a few jobs throughout her lifetime but being a mother was the most prized job she ever obtained. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Teryle Strickland Oakes both brothers Donut & Rodney Strickland and niece Christina Grimes. Kathy was survived by her daughter Danielle Ray and son-in-law James Ray her grandchildren Taylor & Michael Armstrong, Kameron and Morgan Scott, Keyla, Trey, Chance and Little James Ray, and her lifelong companion Bill Fitchett. As well as numerous family & friends she loved. Kathy loved her daughter dearly but when her grand-babies were born she found a love like no other. Kathy loved her crafts, her prissy tea pots & tea cups, her all day coffee, planting flowers and making cakes. She was phenomenal in the kitchen, she always had to add a little extra and it made things “the bomb” as she would say. She had a famous hug that you felt in your soul. She was loved by all and will forever be missed.

A memorial service will be conducted at Reeves Funeral Home Chapel Sunday August 15,2021 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting small plants or monetary gifts.
