Lena Gray Cain

A native of Johnston County, NC, born on January 5, 1944, to the late Coy Parker and Pearline Webb Parker. Preceding her in death was also her husband, Billy Cain; a sister, Glenda Faye Locklear; two stepbrothers, Donnie Davis and Tim Davis.

Lena, loved her family especially her grandchildren all four of those perfect little angels. She loved to garden and spending time working in her flowers. She had a fascination for hummingbirds. Crafts, gardening, ice cream parties serving her famous parfaits was the grandmotherly love shared with her grandchildren. She was a talented baker loving to cook for her family.

Lena, was a private person. Simply reading a good-ole-book was quality time to her. She attended Fayetteville Community Church.

She is survived by a daughter Teresa Cain Hicks, and husband Harvey, of Fayetteville, NC; a son Billy Darryl Cain, and wife Angie, of Fayetteville NC; four grandchildren, Grant Cain, and wife Kristen, Lauren Cain Bledsoe, and husband Jerry, Jonathan Hicks, and girlfriend Courtney, and Matthew Hicks; step-great-granddaughter Audrey Bledsoe; friend and caregiver, Judi Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 prior to services at Fayetteville Community Church.

A celebration of life service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Fayetteville Community Church with Dr. Wesley Pritchard officiating.
