Mario Ares Sr.

Retired Msgt Mario Ares, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, Dec 14th, 2011. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, a Bronze Star recipient, paralegal and retired Lumberton High School educator.

Mr. Ares was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Alfonsa and his sisters Carmen, Juana, Providencia, Basilisa, Maria and Justa.

Mr. Ares is survived by his wife, Lois Ares; two sons, Mario Ares, Jr. and Tony Ares; two daughters-in-law Lynda Ares and Kimberly Ares; one sister Felicita Ares, one grandchild, Martina Ares and a multitude of loving nephews and nieces.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in the Reeves Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home, Hope Mills, NC.
