We miss Mary so much. She was such a blessing to so many people. Her legacy will continue through the music she shared with all of us. The world is a better place because of the impact she made in it. Love and prayers to Mary's family and thank you for sharing her with us.

I am at a loss. Mary was the sweetest, caring and such a helping person. I learned some good things from her. Was looking forward to next time spent that I will never get. Will miss u Mary. U were taken too soon 😔 

Mary was a dear friend and mentor to us for several years. She was like family! We met her through guitar lessons and as time passed Mary started  mentoring Max and Jorja in music, coming to our home for 3-hour bluegrass jam sessions with them every so often. Mary treated our young musicians as equals and taught by example and through encouragement. She even told them that she learns from them as much as they learn from her! With such a positive and encouraging attitude and being full of life and wit, she was such a blessing to so many.  She told us so many stories of her life, funny happenings with her kids when they were young, and her adventures overseas. After spending time with Mary, you can't help but be inspired to live life to the fullest! We are grieved to lose her. We are going to miss those special afternoons with music and coffee that we shared with Mary. Her impact will last for generations to come. God Bless.

I met Mary when she enrolled at the University of the Philippines way back in 2006. As the only Westerner and most senior student, she was well-known and quite popular in our graduate school community. I was fortunate to become her friend as did many others. She understood Asian sensibilities well and would go the extra mile to help others.

Mary was one of the most generous and kind-hearted people I have ever met. Even after migrating back to the US, we have kept in touch and enjoyed recalling our misadventures here. Such a dear dear friend we will all surely miss.  
 

I knew Mary as a very dear and special friend from teaching for many years in Korea. She leaves many friends behind in Asia and America. Mary brought joy and happiness to everyone she met. Very glad to have known her.

Mary and I became friends while we were In Seoul South Korea. I met her and Walter at the USO. They both had a great sense of humor and a willingness to travel . We shared lots of adventures and very interesting cab rides. I will miss hearing about her music students and her family. She was a big part of Seoul Sisters and The Thursday night expats meeting. Love you girlfriend, R. I.P.  

I knew Mary in Korea. I was also teaching English but not in Seoul; I'd usually take the subway into Seoul on Saturdays and meet up with friends. I met Mary through a mutual friend,  Carol Dussere. I'm sorry to hear of Mary's passing and send my sincere condolences to the family.

I had the privilege of meeting  Mary when I was a senior in high school. I had just lost my grandmother at the beginning of that year, who was a wonderful pianist and organist. God works in mysterious ways. He brought Mary, an astounding and accomplished musician, into my life when I needed her most. She became a mentor and gave me the confidence to pursue music for myself. Some years later we were teaching music lessons together at the same school. Mary was not only my musical mentor, but someone who genuinely was a  great friend. I cherish the memories and all the advice she gave me. Although I wish she was here to help guid me through this grief. Her wisdom is still needed.
