

She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Rowland Jr and Anna Cofone Rowland. Maryann leaves behind 4 sons that she raised to become wonderful young men. Christopher (Erika), Robert, Jonathon and Martin (Jenna). She also leaves her 4 siblings, William, Thomas, Alfred III and her sister Stella Martin (Bill). Maryann was also a grandmother to Riley Garner, Christian Kassner-Rodriguez, Benjamin, Caleb & Alice Kassner.
She will also be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles & cousins as well as her many nieces and nephews who all loved and cared for her.
Maryann enlisted in the Army directly out of high school and she served for 10yrs before her discharge. Upon discharge, she started her civilian life raising her boys. She drove a school bus for Cumberland County for many years until she began her 16yr career with Walmart. She loved her co-workers and customers that she met during her time at Walmart.
In her off- time she enjoyed reading, doing woodcraft projects and she had a passion for working in her yard. She had many gardens in her yard. Maryann loved lighthouses, so she will now be a beacon of light for all of us left here.
A visitation for Maryann will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A burial with military honors will occur Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd., Spring Lake, North Carolina 28390.
