Mrs. Mildred Lowery Nelson, age 68, of Lumberton, North Carolina, was born on February 2, 1958, in Robeson County, North Carolina, to the late Mr. Luther Lowery and the late Mrs. Ila Mae Jacobs Lowery. She departed this life on February 20, 2026, in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Micky Nelson; one brother, Calvin Lowery; and four sisters, Nevia Jones, Annie Ruth Nelson, Diane Zayas, and Ruthie McPherson.
Mrs. Nelson leaves to cherish her loving memories: one daughter, Felicia Grinie and her husband Eddie of Hope Mills, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Eddie, Elyia, and Silas Grinie, all of Hope Mills, North Carolina; four sisters, Marlene Watson, Melba Lunsford, Dorethia Burdett, and Elizabeth “Liz” Lowery; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
