Moore James Thompson, 92, of Greenville, SC, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Cascades Verdae in Greenville. James was born September 5, 1920, in Rustburg, VA, and served in the Army during World War II, with tours in Italy, Egypt and Iran.
He lived in Annandale VA, before moving to Greenville. He worked at Dulles Airport during the first years of its operation.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle H. Thompson. His burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC.
James was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
