

Raymond was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 1, 1944 to Edward and Nancy Miller. He moved to Fayetteville in 1979 but spent his recent years in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Raymond met his wife, Joanne in February of 2015; they married in June of 2016.
Raymond always tried to stay busy; finding things to do around the house, loved to work in the yard and enjoyed traveling to many different places. After retiring from the military he worked for several years with the homeless. He dedicated a lot of his time volunteering for many different charities including Operation Inasmuch, and Hope House. Raymond was a very active and proud member of St. Michael the Archangel Maronite Catholic Church in Fayetteville and was on the Parish Board.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nancy; his brothers, Mike and Jerry; and his first wife, Sandra. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; his children, Sondi Miller and Rodney Miller; his three step daughters, Krista Barnhill, Michelle Jameson, and Marcia Page; along with five grandchildren, Robert Nathan Blake Garner Miller, Raymond Nance Bradley Miller, Ryan Nance Miller, Amber Faith Miller, and Raegan Nance Miller; and great grandson, Riley Garner.
A memorial service for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 at 10:30 am, at St. Michael the Archangel Maronite Catholic Church, 806 Arsenal Avenue, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28305. Following the service there will be a mercy meal to celebrate his eternal life.
